Want to get more out of an investigative interview?

The investigation of suspected fraud, misconduct or violations of (conduct) rules involves various forms of information gathering. An important form of information gathering is the interview. This can be done with various stakeholders such as witnesses and potentially suspicious persons. The way the interview is used in the investigative process turns out to be more complicated in practice than it seems. It is much more than firing a few clever open-ended questions at the interviewee.

How do you deal with (suspected) fraudsters in the interview?

This course focuses on the use of interviewing techniques and skills in the context of the fraud investigation process. It also discusses the psychological characteristics of fraudsters, the behavior that can be expected as a result, and how to overcome this during the interview process.
